In 1953, he published a companion volume on the “Sexual Behavior in the Human Female.” He made the cover of Time Magazine in August 1953 in advance of its publication. But the reaction this time was dramatically different. Instead of the fascination that accompanied his claims about male sexuality, there was widespread outrage and revulsion when he made comparable claims about women.
