Anti-Communist Propaganda Abroad

At least since World War One, the relationship between advertising and outright propaganda had become obvious. That was also true for the Cold War years. As detailed in this CIA report, America attempted to militarize propaganda as part of an effort to influence the enemy through psychological warfare.

During the Korean War, in addition to setting the stage for the techniques discussed in the Brainwashing trace, America employed psychological warfare tactics which included bombarding enemy forces with propaganda blasted through loudspeakers at the front.
